UNDP's Growing Inclusive Markets Initiative (GIM) Launches Inaugural Report

jane nelsonJane Nelson and Beth Jenkins participated in UNDP’s Growing Inclusive Markets Initiative (GIM), a multi-stakeholder initiative comprised of leaders from the business and international development communities. Drawing on a network of developing country academics and practitioner organizations, GIM undertakes research and advocacy on “inclusive business models” – business models that include the poor as suppliers, distributors, retailers, customers, and sources of innovation. Nelson served as co-chair of the Outreach Committee of the GIM Advisory Board and Jenkins was one of the primary authors of the Initiative’s inaugural report, Creating Value for All: Strategies for Doing Business with the Poor. Creating Value for All was launched in a series of events worldwide in July 2008.
