Short CV
Lukas Streiff, Master in Public Policy Candidate, studied philosophy, politics, and economics as well as diplomatic history at the University of Pennsylvania and at Sciences Po in Paris, graduating magna com laude in 2006. Having gained first experience in start-up management, strategy consulting, and at the German Mission to the United Nations in New York, Lukas made an exception to his main area of interest at the intersection of international politics and business and took the position of Assistant to the President of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, Germany's second largest cultural foundation. Managing the presidential office in a very dynamic phase for the foundation, which runs a total of 26 cultural institutions ranging from the Goethe and Schiller Archive, Germany's famous Anna Amalia Library, to one of the world's leading Bauhaus museums, offered valuable experience in public-sector work that Lukas is building on at the Kennedy School. The summer before his arrival at Harvard, Lukas worked for a member of the European Parliament on issues of security policy and European energy security. His work at Harvard is focused on security policy, diplomacy, and energy policy.
At age 16, Lukas was awarded a scholarship by the United World Colleges of Hong Kong, where he spent the two last years of high school. Before entering university, he embarked on a trip around the world and wrote a column about his travels that was published in Germany's leading news website "Spiegel Online".
