Elizabeth Wright is the Program Coordinator for the Middle East Initiative (MEI) at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government (HKS). She received her BA in International Relations with an emphasis in Human Rights from Occidental College in Los Angeles.
Ms. Wright previously worked as an intern at the United Nations in the Office of the Special Adviser on Gender Issues and the Advancement of Women. While there, she assisted a team of four in implementing Resolution 1325 (2000), which “addresses the impact of war on women and women’s contributions to conflict resolution and sustainable peace.” She has also worked as an outreach intern at Polaris Project, an anti-human trafficking organization, where she implemented an outreach program and conducted field research on potential victims of exploitation. Ms. Wright’s research interests include women’s rights and conflict resolution.
