A World of Flavors: Local Food Cooking Demonstration and Discussion

Join us for a dinnertime exploration of locally grown produce – how to pick and prepare it, and sources for getting the freshest and most interesting foods available in our area. Event includes a small-plates dinner (all vegetarian) and cooking demonstration by Chef Rosie Gill, and a discussion of area farmers' markets and CSAs, including the World Peas CSA (which is available for subscription and delivery at HKS). Menu: Amaranth Greens, Baby Lettuces, and Sprouts Salad with Toasted Seeds (gluten free) Amaranth Seed Burgers with Lemon Tahini Spread (gluten free) Bonus: all attendees will go home with amaranth honey cookies!
