An M-RCBG Business and Government Seminar with Richard Light - How To Get Talented University Students Thinking About Their C

Richard Light
Walter H. Gale Professor of Education
GSE Director, Harvard Seminar on Assessment
HKS Adjunct Faculty
Three years ago an in-depth survey of undergraduates at Harvard, Stanford, and Yale turned up compelling evidence that students at America’s great colleges want more organized discussions of core values, and how to think about such values in their lives.  At Harvard, the Freshmen Dean’s Office together with Professors Richard Light and Howard Gardner has created a series of popular discussion groups for our undergraduates.  In this hands-on seminar, Richard Light will describe these groups and demonstrate with the audience some of the exercises students are asked to complete.  Since the sessions are still a work in process, Light will welcome all new ideas and suggestions for the next round of discussions with undergraduates this academic year.
