Criminal Justice Lunchtime Talk Series: Executive Sessions on Policing and Community Corrections

Executive Sessions (http://www.hks.harvard.edu/programs/criminaljustice/research-publications/executive-sessions) are research in action with direct engagement of policy leaders in a specific field over a three year period.  This HKS creation has been used in a number of fields over many years to wrestle with contemporary and anticipated future policy issues.  One of the earliest ones is credited with crystallizing the concept of community policing.  Presently, the PCJ is running two executive sessions – one on policing and public safety and one on community corrections and alternatives to mass incarceration.  Topics in the past have included public defense, prosecution, governance of state courts, human rights commissions and the criminal justice system, juvenile justice and child protective services.  Come learn about the method, the products and the impact of Executive Sessions.  Lunch will be provided. Sponsored by Criminal Justice PIC, KSSG, and the
Program in Criminal Justice Policy and Management
