Is a New Progressive Movement Upon Us?: Lessons from a Century of Social Justice Leadership, a lecture by author Peter Dreier

Please join us for an insightful and thought-provoking lecture at which Peter Dreier, distinguished educator, activist and author, will explain why the 20th Century is a remarkable story of progressive accomplishments against overwhelming odds, and how the great Americans of the last century paved the way for the leaders of today. Highlighting some of the people – artists, activists, thinkers, politicians, athletes, writers, and others – who built the 20th Century's most important social justice movements, Dreier will discuss these individuals in historical context, assembling a timeline of the century’s most important events and progressive accomplishments.Sponsored by:     The Sexuality, Gender & Human Rights Program
