*Lunch provided by the Health Policy PIC* From 1996 to 2010 Thomas Glynn was the Chief Operating Officer at Partners HealthCare in Boston, a network of Harvard teaching hospitals and neighborhood health centers. Previously, Glynn served in the Clinton Administration as Deputy Secretary of Labor, as Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration at Brown University, as Deputy Commissioner of Public Welfare in Massachusetts, as General Manager of the MBTA (Massachusett's transit system), and in the Carter Administration as Executive Director of the Vice Presidents Task Force on Youth Employment. Glynn is also a Senior Fellow at the Center for American Progress, a fellow of the National Academy of Public Administration and a former board member of the Council for Excellence in Government. He has a BA from Tufts University and a PhD from Brandeis University.
