User-Friendly Speech Frameworks, a Public Speaking Workshop with Holly Weeks, HKS Adjunct Lecturer in Public Policy

Writing and then memorizing what you want to say leaves you reciting your sentences rather than presenting your ideas. At the same time, structures that work well for people who are reading don’t work well when people are listening. If you tend to write your presentations first, let’s look at some frameworks that work better for listeners and better for you.
