About the Event One of the greatest opportunities of our era is hardly known. 6 billion people do not have computers. Yet with the impending wave of smartphones, in just a few years billions of people will soon have computers in their pockets. Technology is more than just technology. It is education, health, livelihood. This is what a smartphone can mean to people in China, India, Brazil, Indonesia and so many other corners of this globe. Yet almost no one is developing these applications. Come, understand why. You are here at this school to lead a life of consequence. History has rarely known such an opportunity to do so. This is your chance. Who is Matt Dalio? Matt Dalio is a Harvard ‘06 grad. He’s launching a company called Endless Mobile geared at bringing technology to the developing world via smartphones. He founded and now sits on the board of the China Care Foundation, which has raised over $14 million to provide 300 financial aid grants and 400 foster placements as well as establish five China Care Homes to provide surgery for over 1,000 children. Matt was honored as one of Oprah Winfrey’s “People Changing the Lives of Children Around the World” and is the youngest recipient of the Fulbright Award for furthering peace and international understanding.
