Local and Harvard vendors gathered Thursday in the Taubman rotunda to share their messages of environmentalism and green living. This was the first Harvard Kennedy School Sustainability Fair and it was sponsored by the HKS Sustainability Initiative (login required) and the HKS Office of Facilities. As well as the tables of information for HKS students, staff and faculty, there were giveaways, a raffle, and locally sourced food. In attendance were HKSSI, Commuter Choice, OfficeMax and the Harvard Office for Sustainability.
“The idea behind the fair was to get information out about how to be green at HKS and beyond. We wanted to show people that being sustainable can be easy, fun and taste good," said event organizer Vidya Sivan, communications coordinator in alumni relations and resource development.
