CAMBRIDGE, MA – Americans concerned about the quality of their oceans, fresh waters, forests and farmlands now have a single place to turn for updated information.
“The State of the Nation’s Ecosystems: Measuring the Lands, Waters, and Living Resources of the United States,” released today by The H. John Heinz III Center for Science, Economics and the Environment, will deliver a key set of data points on the environment comparable in significance to those identified by the annual set of national economic indicators.
William Clark, Harvey Brooks professor of international science, public policy and human development at the Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University, is chairman of the project that produced the report. He is available for press interviews. Please contact Doug Gavel at (617) 495-8290 for more information on the report or to reach Professor Clark for comment.
