Harvard Kennedy School students demonstrated capabilities beyond public service at the school’s annual talent show in April. Featuring dance, music, poetry, comedy and more, the newly renamed “HKS Got Talent” variety show is a long-held tradition among the Kennedy School community. For decades, students and faculty have taken to the stage to share their artistic abilities and roast the institution as the academic year winds down. The show also serves host to a raffle with all the proceeds benefiting summer internships.

This year, Jimmy Tingle MC/MPA 2010 emceed the event. The comedian, producer, writer, actor, filmmaker and commentator kept up the energetic pace of the event in between acts.

“Jimmy did a fantastic job leading tonight’s show, just has he has done with so many of our other events, including the School’s 75th anniversary celebration,” said Melodie Jackson, associate dean for communications and public affairs. “His ability to read and engage the audience and to ad-lib when something unexpected happens helped us deliver another successful event.”

This year’s talent show featured: “HKS at 100,” a skit presented by Dean David Ellwood; “30 Years of Movies in Five Minutes!,” a humorous interpretation presented by Nick Bayard, Tarun Cherukuri, Aditi Chokshi, Kai Graylee, Asim Jahangir, Pratibha Joshi, Manoah Koletty, Elizabeth Koshy and Arjun Vasan; and “How Do I Go Back To Harvard?” a musical scene performed by Roly Clifton Bligh, Uri Gopher, Mary McCall, Bassem Nasir, Claire Szabo and Claire Rice.
