Boston Mobilization is a grassroots community organization that educates, empowers, and mobilizes young people and community members to take action for peace and social justice. Primarily run by young people, Boston Mobilization is continually defined by the vision and energy of our talented youth organizers. It is an action-oriented organization, which runs campaigns on a variety of issues, but its underlying mission is to mobilize the youth of today, provide them with the skills, knowledge and inspiration to find their voice, and realize that their voice can make a difference in the future of this country.

Internship Description:

It is often extremely difficult to find a job in the world of non-profit world. However there is one skill that can assure your future in this sector – development and fundraising.

Boston Mobilization is looking for talented students to put together a summer non-profit management team. This team will focus primarily on fundraising, with an emphasis on grant writing and research. Interns will work with the Development team of staff and Board members to develop the upcoming year’s development plan. The participate in grant-writing workshops and then have the opportunity go through the grant writing process from beginning to end. We will also work as a team to design and implement other development projects. Interns will also have the opportunity to learn about event planning, database management and other non-profit management skills.

 
Time Commitment:   Summer Internships are a minimum of 20 hours per week.
