Company Description: The Fund for Public Interest Research was founded over 20 years ago to build support for public interest organizations to preserve the environment, protect consumers, and improve the quality of our government. Since then, the Fund has grown into the nation's leading citizen outreach network, working with some of the top progressive groups in the country, like the Sierra Club, the Human Rights Campaign, and the State PIRGs. 
Job Description: As a Citizen Outreach Director for the Fund, you run a campaign office in one of dozens of cities throughout the country. The staff you supervise educate citizens about the issues and get them involved in campaigns to win progressive change. In essence, you build a team of committed activists, who, in turn, mobilize hundreds or thousands of citizens to take action.
 
Qualifications:   We are looking for smart, motivated, action-oriented people who are interested in politics, committed to the public interest, and are willing to work hard to make change.
 
Salary:    First-year staff earn $23,750-$25,250, depending on position. Benefits include eligibility to enroll in our group health plan and college loan assistance
