Job Description: The Director of Out of School Youth Program is responsible for planning, developing and overseeing the out of school youth programs including YouthBuild of Lowell at CTI. This position raises funds, develops and maintains community support and collaborative partnerships with other agencies, ensures the quality of all program components, supervises staff, oversees daily program operations and ensures adherence with YouthBuild USA’s standards of performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overall administration of out of school youth programs including YouthBuild of Lowell at CTI; 
  • Supervising, and annually evaluating all Managers, Staff and program components.
  • Overseeing the operation of all program components, planning and allocating staff and program resources to ensure that annual program goals are attained.
  • Developing and monitoring all program budgets
  • Preparing all agency and funding source required reports 
  • Developing systems to improve program operations and collaboration among staff.
  • Holding regular staff meeting.
  • Raising funds from public and private funding sources; maintaining relations with funders. 
  • Building and maintaining working relations with community and government agencies. 
  • Working with YouthBuild USA, overseeing the collection of data for ongoing evaluation efforts, and supporting the efforts of the Massachusetts Coalition of YouthBuild Program.
  • Assisting Community Teamwork, Inc. in identifying out-of-school youth needs and building additional out-of-school youth programs to address those needs, and identifying funding sources for any newly developed out-of-school youth 
  • Participating as member of Key Management team. 
  • Performing other job related duties as required.
 
Qualifications:  
  • Master’s Degree in education, counseling, human services or related field preferred. Equivalent of education and experience will be considered.

  • At least 3 year’s successful management/supervisory experience in Human Services or a community setting. Demonstrate skill in non-profit fundraising and program development.

  • Strong commitment to helping young people succeed in an innovative training program, to reorient their lives, nurture their leadership skills and enable them to make a positive difference in their community.

  • Ability to work sensitively and effectively with multiracial and multicultural groups. Experience working with young people in a community-based alternative education setting. 

  • Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Bilingual skills preferred.

    Education:

    Master’s Degree in education, counseling, human services or related field preferred. 

 
Salary:   $50,000 to $54,000 annually
