Company Description:

Northeast Wilderness Trust is a vibrant and growing regional land trust working to preserve and restore forever-wild landscapes for wildlife and people. NWT works with private landowners to preserve wilderness through conservation easements and acquisition. NWT, in conjunction with partners, has protected thousands of acres across the region since its founding in 2002.

Job Description: The ED reports to the Board of Directors and manages a staff of two consultants, working committees, volunteers and interns. Responsibilities include: providing overall organizational leadership, fundraising for operations and capital campaigns and ensuring financial stability of the organization, preparing budgets, drafting easements, negotiating with landowners, and overseeing the outreach program.
 
Qualifications:   Skills:

Excellent communication skills, proven fundraising success, commitment to and understanding of wilderness protection and outreach and management experience.

Experience:

Five years of land trust or equivalent professional experience.

Education:

Masters preferred

 
Salary:   Commensurate with experience
