Company Description: The Barbara Lee Family Foundation and the Lee Family Office seek outstanding candidates for the position of Foundation Director / Political Director. The office, located in Harvard Square , consists of a Principal and 8 employees. The Barbara Lee Family Foundation supports progressive initiatives in two program areas: women in politics and contemporary art. Read more about the Foundation at www.BarbaraLeeFoundation.org. The Lee Family Office manages the Principal’s contributions to organizations and candidates, as well as political fundraising and other political projects.
Job Description: The Director will advise on and manage strategic grant making and non-partisan projects for the Foundation and long-term and short-term partisan political strategy and execution for the Family Office.  This position reports to the Principal and supervises three full-time staff members. 
 
Qualifications:   Ideal candidates should have political campaign and / or non-profit management experience and be committed to women’s political advancement and empowerment. Foundation experience and MBA or MPA preferred. Strong expertise in strategic development, project management, tactical implementation, and staff management are required. Other requirements include: outstanding oral and written communications skills, command of Microsoft Office, and ability to travel. Candidate must be willing to relocate to the Boston area.
Salary and Benefits:

 

 Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits include health and dental insurance, paid vacation, sick and personal days, as well as paid holidays, long-term disability insurance, and 401(k) plan.
