Company Description:

Health Professionals and Allied Employees, (HPAE) AFT

Location: Northern New Jersey

Job Description: Representatives are assigned to specific hospitals were the union's members are employed and under contract.  They work with rank and file leaders in the workplace to negotiate and enforce contracts.  Lead strikes as necessary, develop workplace leadership and support union-wide campaigns, political action and legislative programs.  Organizers develop organizing committees and lead campaigns to bring unorganized groups of nurses into the union and under a collectively bargained contract.
 
Qualifications:  

Previous experience and record of getting results representing and organizing workers in a union or organizing and other related experience in community organizations.  NLRB organizing experience particularly in health care desirable. 

Salary and Benefits:  

Approx. $50,000 or higher depending on experience, excellent benefits, staff union contract
