Jose is a Civil Engineer from PUC, Chile. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Structural Engineer both in Chile and California. He then joined the “Un Techo para Chile” NGO in the “Vivienda Definitiva” area, where he partnered with families living in slums to develop social housing projects through the “Fondo Solidario” program of the Chilean Housing Ministry. After five years with Un Techo para Chile, Jose joined the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where he focused on infrastructure and economic development. He received his MPA degree from the Kennedy School in May 2012 and is currently a member of the Recupera Chile team, working with Professor Doug Ahlers and the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies.
