NEW REPORT: Controlling the Cost of Municipal Health Insurance: Lessons from SpringfieldA report issued by the Edward J. Collins Jr. Center for Public Management at UMass Boston's McCormack School of Policy Studies and the Rappaport Institute documents the millions of dollars in annual savings achieved by the City of Springfield resulting from the decision of the Finance Control Board to transfer the City’s employees to the Commonwealth’s Group Insurance Commission (GIC). The report was authored by Robert L. Carey, an expert on Massachusetts health insurance costs. (MORE)

2009 RAPPAPORT PUBLIC POLICY FELLOWS The 2009 Rappaport Institute Public Policy Fellows were chosen from five schools to participate in our 10-week summer fellowship. These students will work at state or local agencies for twelve weeks during the summer.
