This site was created as the Kennedy School of Government’s
response to the tsunami disaster that struck nations in the Indian Ocean
vicinity on
December 26, 2004. The recurrence of natural disasters in
various parts of the globe highlights that natural disasters and other
crises can happen anywhere and unexpectedly.
