The Taubman Center: Research

The Taubman Center and its affiliated programs and institutes conduct and sponsor research in a variety of areas, most notably: politics, governance and finance; social capital and civic engagement; innovation in the public sector; education policy; land use, urban development, and transportation; emergency preparedness; and greater Boston governance and public policy. The Center makes its research and curriculum materials widely available through various publications, including books, research monographs, working papers, and case studies.

Real Estate and Urban Development

Recognizing the importance and interdisciplinary nature of real estate development for all major cities, the Rappaport Institute for Greater Boston, the Taubman Center, and faculty members affiliated with both entities have undertaken many projects studying the politics, economics, and implementation of the forces and policies that shape the physical structure of urban regions.
