The Urban Seminar on Successful Youth in High-Risk Environments focused on health-risk behaviors and school success indicators on high-risk urban youth, including sexual activity, drug and alcohol use, violence, mental health, and school achievement, involvement and problem behaviors. In particular, research and discussion at the seminar attended to the means by which families, peer groups, schools, and communities interact to promote the healthy development of at-risk youth in cities.
