Fellowship Program

 


Application Materials

The Women and Public Policy Program offers non-stipendiary fellowships to scholars and practitioners who demonstrate exceptional commitment to promoting gender perspectives in public policy. By conducting research and engaging with faculty and students in the Kennedy School community and beyond, the fellows enrich the intellectual life of the center. WAPPP provides office space and Kennedy School affiliation to selected fellows. In past years, the fellowship program has brought together a diverse set of people from academic and professional fields, and supported their studies related to gender.

 

Responsibilities:

The Women and Public Policy Fellows are expected to participate actively in WAPPP seminars and to attend and present papers at other seminars relevant to their interests. Research fellows will also be expected to complete a book, monograph, scholarly article or other significant publication during their period of residence.

 

Application Process:

Prospective fellows should submit a one-page description of their proposed project, a curriculum vitae, a writing sample, and two letters of recommendation to Theresa Lund at the address below:

The deadline for applications for the 2009-2010 academic year is January 31, 2009. A faculty committee will review applications in February 2009, and applicants will be notified shortly thereafter.

Notification Process

Applicants will be notified of the selection committee's decisions by early April.
