Women in International Security New England Chapter (WIIS NE)
Based out of Georgetown University, Women In International Security (WIIS) is the premier global membership organization dedicated to advancing the influence of women in international peace and security fields. With a growing base of 1,500 members, WIIS is committed to building a worldwide network of women and men who understand the importance of inclusive and diverse participation in peace and security, and support women's engagement in this field.
HKS WIIS is a part of the WIIS Northeast Chapter. HKS WIIS works closely with professional women in the public and private security sectors in Boston, as well as student groups at Brandeis University, The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and MIT. We seek to identify women who are entering the international peace and security field and support their intellectual and professional growth through networking events, trainings, and career conversations with leading women in the field.
