As a first generation graduate student at Harvard Kennedy School, Adam Delgado is dedicated to empowering Latine communities through research, policy, and advocacy. Addressing the lack of access and opportunity for historically marginalized communities has been a consistent theme throughout his career. Adam started his career in management consulting at Booz Allen Hamilton, working with federal agencies to support service members and veterans with disabilities rehabilitate and reintegrate to active duty and civilian life. He continued his efforts to center underserved populations through strategy, operations, and product roles focused on social impact, equity, and responsible AI teams across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, including positions at the International Monetary Fund, Cooley, Google, and Meta, where his research at Facebook and Instagram supported the launch of civic, health, equity, and responsible AI products and policies impacting billions of people globally. He led the first research initiative at Meta focusing on the experiences of Latine communities in the US and led global hackathon teams that produced new features and tools promoting Latine-owned businesses. His current research with Duolingo focuses on how access to adaptive learning technologies can empower Spanish-speakers learning English worldwide. After HKS, Adam is interested in the intersection between technology policy, social entrepreneurship, and public service. He plans to continue advocating for representation, inclusion, and participation of Latine and other historically excluded communities in the creation and development of new and emerging technologies. A native of Arizona, Adam enjoys nature, hiking, and matcha. He is humbled and grateful to join the Equity Fellowship and CPL community, and he is thrilled to contribute to building an accessible and inclusive community at HKS and beyond.
