Amelia Karayianis
Grants Manager at the Harvard Center for International Development

Amelia is responsible for grants management and oversight at CID. Prior to joining CID, she spent several years at JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc., providing finance and operational support for international public health projects, primarily in Ethiopia, Uganda, and Ghana. Between 2017 and 2019, Amelia served as an English & Gender Education Peace Corps Volunteer in Togo, West Africa, and has experience and an interest in teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). 

Professionally and personally, Amelia feels called to mission-driven work, and is motivated by the desire to reduce human suffering and work on initiatives that promote better health and education outcomes across the globe. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, gardening, and hosting friends and family. She also holds a BA in global citizenship from Becker College.
