Chief Security Officer, Akamai

Andy Ellis is Akamai's Chief Security Officer, governing the safety, resilience, and compliance of its planetary-scale network.  He is the designer of several critical Akamai technologies, including its secure TLS acceleration network and many of the core components of the company’s web security solutions.

Andy is a frequent speaker on issues of Internet security, safety, and risk management, has participated in the FCC-CSRIC and NIAC, and is an affiliate of Harvard’s Berkman-Klein Center on Internet & Society.  He is a graduate of MIT and a former US Air Force officer, the recipient of the CSO Magazine Compass Award, the Air Force Commendation Medal, The Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence, and the Spirit of Disneyland Award.  He can be found on Twitter as @csoandy.
