Bill is an Executive Vice President and the Global Sports and Social Infrastructure Leader at AECOM - the international design, infrastructure and construction services firm committed to building a better world. Trained as an architect, His work focuses on large scale regeneration projects, major sports events masterplanning, and sports venue design. Bill works closely with civic leaders, team owners, and key stakeholders to leverage the capital investment required to host major sports events and deliver new sports venues to ensure that they create positive economic benefit and physical improvement to surrounding communities. He currently leads the design team for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games Plan, where AECOM is the official Venue Infrastructure Partner providing full architecture, engineering, construction management and program management services. Previously, he led the AECOM team that delivered the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Games and Legacy masterplans as well as the sports architecture for five venues and the International Broadcast Center. AECOM also delivered the design and planning team for the London 2012 Games and Legacy masterplans. In addition, Bill served as a senior advisor to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government on the Tokyo 2020 Games. His sports design and masterplanning is driven by focusing on the key components of any major venue or event – the spectator experience, the athlete experience and the legacy outcome – while ensuring design excellence, technological innovation, security, energy efficiency and financial viability. Bill’s work in Los Angeles includes leading the design team that delivered the Intuit Dome, the new home of the LA Clippers that opened in August 2024. The project has achieved critical acclaim and has received multiple design awards. The Intuit Dome has been awarded LEED Platinum status and will be net zero carbon from its inception. He has a Masters of Architecture degree from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University
