Catherine M. Keating has been the Chief Executive Officer of Commonfund Inc., since February 2014. She has extensive experience as an attorney and as a leader in the financial services industry. From 1996 to 2015, she served in multiple management roles at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Ms. Keating served as the Head of Investment Management for Americas at JPMorgan Chase & Co. She was responsible for overseeing one of the largest providers of investment management services. Ms. Keating was a Member of senior leadership group at the JPMorgan Chase & Co. She served as the Chief Executive Officer of United States private banking at J.P. Morgan and as Global Head of its Wealth Advisory and Fiduciary Services business. Ms. Keating joined Commonfund in 2015 as President and Chief Executive Officer. She served as the Chief Executive of U.S. Institutional Asset Management at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 1996, Ms. Keating was a Partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. Ms. Keating has been Director of Santander Holdings USA, Inc. and Santander Bank since 2015. Ms. Keating serves as a Director of the JPMorgan Chase Foundation. She serves on the boards of trustees of the Girl Scout Council of Greater New York, the Inner-City Scholarship Fund and the New York Women's Forum. Prior to her election as Chair of the Villanova University Board of Trustees, Ms. Keating served as Vice Chair beginning in 2011. She is a frequent author and speaker on investment and wealth planning topics. Ms. Keating held executive sponsor position of Santander Women’s Interactive Network. She was a director of the JPMorgan Foundation. She was named one of the Most Powerful Women in Banking by US Banker and one of the Most Powerful Women in Finance by American Banker. Ms. Keating holds B.A. degree from Villanova University in 1984 and a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
