Ellen T Horing, is the Founder of a hedge fund-of-funds, Highgate Partners, L.P and of ETH Corp, a family investment office. In addition, she was a Founding Partner and advisor to the Sterling Stamos group of fund-of-funds until it was partially sold to Merrill Lynch in 2007.  

Mrs. Horing received her Masters of Business Administration from Columbia Business School and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado. She spent one year in the BSc program at the London School of Economics.  

Mrs. Horing is a member of Neshamot, a venture philanthropy group which has given over $3 million in support of women and children at risk over the past 11 years.  

Mrs. Horing began a financial literacy mentoring program at Harlem Village Academies where she has taught middle school and high school girls the basic understandings of financial independence. She began a yearlong essay writing program for high school juniors at Harlem Village Academies that aids students in preparing their applications for college. The culmination of the program is a three day work shop that combines essay writing with an outdoor experience at a local overnight camp. 

Mrs. Horing began community outreach and formed a 501c3 “A Cure in Our Lifetime” which raises funds to support breast cancer research. Over the past 20 years, A Cure in our Lifetime has raised in excess of $2,000,000 to support transformative research. 

Mrs. Horing is the past Annual Campaign Chair for UJA-Federation of Westchester and is on the Board of UJA-Federation New York which is the largest local philanthropy in the world raising over $200 million annually from 51,000 donors in order to better over 4.5 million lives.  

In addition, she is on the Executive Board of American Friends of Tel-Aviv University where she serves as the Chair of the Investment Committee. She was recently elected as a member of the Board of Governors of Tel Aviv University. 

In January 2019, Mrs. Horing will become a Fellow of the Advanced Leadership Initiative at Harvard University. 

Mrs. Horing is the mother of three girls.
