Gabrielle Bacon photo

Dr. Gabrielle Bacon is Co-Chair of The Moore Charitable Foundation, overseeing the grant portfolio in the areas of education, health and the arts. Gabrielle holds both an MPhil in International Relations and PhD in Environmental Science (Land Economy) from Cambridge University, UK: her doctoral research focused on human rights violations incurred by environmental degradation.

Dr. Bacon serves on the US Board of Client Earth, a global environmental organization, as well as the Peconic Baykeeper, which tackles local water pollution issues on Long Island. Gabrielle Bacon is also a Trustee of New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Columbia University-Weill Cornell medical system; Cambridge in America; and of The Boys’ Club of New York Women’s Board. By invitation, she is a member of the International Council of The Metropolitan Museum of Fine Arts, having worked for a decade at Sotheby’s in London, UK and at several galleries in the United States.

Dr. Bacon's undergraduate degree in Politics and Economics came from McGill University, in her hometown of Montreal, Canada. She is fluent in French, Italian and Spanish.
