Master in Public Policy Candidate, 2026

Gage Donovan Sitzmann is currently a MPP candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School. Prior to HKS, he has served in various consulting, legislative, and policy analysis positions in the U.S. House of Representatives, The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Department of Defense. As a rural Iowa native who enlisted and deployed with all walks of life in the U.S. Army Infantry, his centered-interest policy area is dedicated to policy affecting veterans, especially those who are socioeconomically disadvantaged in starting and growing small businesses. Post-HKS, his goals include leveraging years of professional experience, along with the knowledge earned from HKS, to advocate for policies that empower veterans and promote the growth of small businesses. His future career goals also include contributing to sustainable economic development, by bridging policy and business implementations, to ensure equitable opportunities across veteran and disadvantaged communities. Additionally, he holds a B.S.B.A Strategic Management, from The American University. His Military and Government service includes three combat deployments overseas.
