Hellen Chabunya is a senior researcher whose life’s work is to advance gendered political participation and food access through research and research translation. She operates at the intersection of academia and practice, conducting research on digital and social barriers to women’s political representation and translating those insights into policy innovations and practical interventions. A Vice President of the United Transformation Movement and parliamentary candidate, she also chairs the Coalition for the Empowerment of Women and Girls (CEWAG), advocating for gender equity and leadership opportunities for women across Africa.
