Ilker Baburoglu is a Leadership Circle member of the Harvard Kennedy School Dean's Council. Based in between Geneva, Dubai and Istanbul, Ilker Baburoglu, both in personal and corporate capacity, has been heavily working to improve and contribute to energy security and reliability for various communities. He is serving as a founder at various multi-national energy & commodity trading companies.
Ilker serves on the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Council in Washington, DC. He is a faculty member at the Queen Elizabeth II Academy for Leadership and sits on the Panel of Strategic Advisers at the Chatham House (the Royal Institute of International Affairs) in London. He is also a member of the Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs Global Advisory Council.
Ilker has a diverse background in mega-project development, hydrocarbons, renewable energy, mining, power generation, and critical infrastructure projects, especially in emerging markets. He is dedicated to good corporate governance and capacity-building efforts to encourage inclusive economic growth and social development in challenging geographies.
He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, Koc University, Bogazici University, and a member of YPO.
