Irum Jabeen Malik (MPP ‘25) will intern at UNESCO in Paris, France. During her upcoming summer internship, Irum will play a pivotal role in advancing the digital transformation initiative led by the digital business solutions team. Her primary objective will be to develop a comprehensive set of performance indicators aimed at enhancing the delivery of this initiative. She will focus on integrating and governing core data across UNESCO and its member states using a specialized digital platform designed to streamline operations and promote collaboration. This platform will prioritize generative AI standards and applications. Irum's responsibilities will extend to ensuring that the digital transformation aligns with UNESCO's commitment to promoting culture, diversity and gender equity. She will work with gender-focused datasets, collaborating closely with stakeholders across the UNESCO ecosystem to improve gender diversity within the organization. Throughout her internship, Irum will navigate the intersection of technology and social responsibility, contributing to UNESCO's mission of fostering a more inclusive and equitable world. Her work will not only drive forward the digital agenda but also cultivate a culture of diversity and empowerment within the organization.
