Justus Bamert is a Ph.D. candidate in economics at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. He works on topics in labor and education economics, with a focus on the gender imbalance in STEM study fields.
In his current work, he investigates gendered study choices among high-school graduates. In particular, his research aims at understanding whether high-school students’ tertiary STEM enrollment is affected (1) when high-school principals receive accurate and accessible information about the gender gap in STEM choice among their former students and (2) when high-school students learn about the STEM enrollment and success of students who have previously graduated from their high school.
