Katryna Mahoney joined the Harvard Center for International Development (CID) in 2025 as a Senior Executive Coordinator, supporting leadership and advancing strategic initiatives across the Center. Before joining CID, she served as a Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), most recently in Ethiopia.
A practitioner at heart, Katryna has worked at the intersection of migration research, humanitarian response, and global development policy. Her experience spans nonprofit and multilateral institutions including InterAction, the Global Forum on Migration and Development, and the World Bank. In 2014, she was awarded a Fulbright research grant to Morocco.
Katryna holds an MA in Global Human Development from Georgetown University, an MSc in Migration Studies from the University of Oxford, and a BA in Anthropology and Sociology from Spelman College.
