Dr. Krishnaswamy Sankaran is a senior executive and practitioner-scholar with 22 years bridging deep technology, sovereign strategy, and investment — across governments, global institutions, and private capital. Former EY Global Executive Partner and WEF Head of Business Sector for Energy and Infrastructure, he has led complex transaction mandates across M&A, IPOs, and take-privates spanning energy, industrial technology, and financial services. He has built and exited ventures across Europe and the Nordics, and is actively engaged in early-stage venture capital as a GP co-founder. Recognized as 2020 Mission Innovation Champion by 24 nations and the European Commission, and 2021 Nordic Energy Prize laureate, he brings documented operational delivery across energy, industrial manufacturing, critical minerals, and sovereign infrastructure.
His work at M-RCBG will focus on the Sovereignty Deficit — examining among other aspects, democratic governance failures in AI-enabled power concentration and the regulatory architecture shaping how states and institutions navigate geotechnology risk. As Visiting Faculty (Dozent) at ETH Zurich and active advisor on EU Commission-funded projects spanning AI governance, energy, and critical raw materials strategy, he brings both academic rigor and frontline policy engagement to his work at the intersection of technology, governance, and global affairs. He is a Swiss citizen of Indian origin, based in Cham, Kanton Zug, Switzerland.
