Laura K. Gee is an Associate Professor of Economics at Tufts University. She received her PhD from the University of California San Diego and her B.A. from Barnard College at Columbia University. She has published in peer-reviewed journals including the Quarterly Journal of Economics, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Journal of Labor Economics, Journal of Public Economics, Management Science, and Experimental Economics. Her research has also been featured by CBS News, Fast Company, Forbes, The Boston Globe, and The Wall Street Journal. Her research focuses on two areas: behavioral factors and inequality in labor markets, and the provision of public goods, including charitable giving. She uses lab and field experiments alongside observational data.
