I work at the intersection of environmental, development, and industrial organization economics. My research asks how environmental policy can be designed in settings with weak state capacity and high poverty, with particular attention to distributional effects and to the role of market structure and informality. I work mainly on Brazil, combining empirical research designs with structural models.
