Lt Col Marie Harnly is the Commander of the 316th Civil Engineer Squadron, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. She leads 572 military and civilian personnel to plan, construct, operate, and maintain 6.7 billion dollars of real property. Her unit provides infrastructure support to five wings, three headquarters, 84 tenant organizations, and the world's highest visibility flight line. She also provides explosive ordnance disposal, fire protection, environmental protection, and housing services to approximately 65,000 personnel. Lt Col Harnly earned her commission through Air Force ROTC at Stanford University. She also earned master’s degrees from Harvard University, the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies, and the Air Force Institute of Technology.
