Mary Beth O’Connor is founder of Lucky VIII, an independent film, television, and theatre production company. O’Connor was recently appointed Vice Chair of RKO Pictures, under its chairman, Ted Hartley.



In September  2015, O’Connor, along with partner Robert Cole, launched LUCKYGODOT to develop a slate of projects for Broadway (2017/18). Her previous credits include: That Championship Season (2011), Orphans (2013 - two Tony nominations), Big Fish (2013), and The Glass Menagerie (2013/2014 - receiving Drama Desk and Outer Critics Awards as well as a Tony nomination) and the London West End premiere of Strangers On A Train (2014)

.

Among her feature film credits is The Other Man. She is currently developing Frozen Flashback with Adam Blum (Panay, Disney) as co-producer. Television series in production are The Plug (writer Greg Howard; Remember the Titans) and the original sitcom Modern Woman by Rushion McDonald.


She was a member of the NY/NJ 2014 Super Bowl Host Committee and serves as a trustee for The Boys & Girls Club of Newark, as well as a trustee for the Women’s Association of  New Jersey Performing Art Center (NJPAC) and is currently serving as its president. Mary Beth is also a member of the Broadway League, the Fred Astaire Awards and the Performing Arts Council for the University of Notre Dame.  Mary Beth is also a board member for newly launched Broad Street Capital Partners, a Newark, New Jersey based minority owned broker dealer.
