Monika Waber joined Swiss Re Ltd. from UBS AG per August 2011 as Head Human Resources Reinsurance. In this role she partnered with the CEO and Executive Team and was responsible for the end-to-end delivery of strategic human resources to Reinsurance, the largest business unit within Swiss Re. In January 2017 she took over as the Head of Organisation & People Development. Together with her team she is globally responsible for organization development, executive & leadership development, learning, strategic resourcing and talent as well as diversity & inclusion for the entire Swiss Re group.
Ms Waber is a Human Resources professional with 20 years of experience in various HR disciplines in Financial Services. Monika Waber has spent the early part of her career in the Investment Bank unit of UBS AG, followed by various roles within the corporate and group environment.
During her career she has worked in a number of HR specialist areas such as International Benefits & Compensation, International Mobility and Recruitment. Additionally, she has held various Human Resources Business Partner Roles in various areas in global capacity.
Through her roles she has gained specific experience in organisational and cultural change management, performance management, leadership development and executive coaching.
Ms Waber was born in 1973 and is a Swiss and German dual citizen. She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master of Advanced Studies in Human Systems Engineering, with specialization on Coaching, Leadership and Organisational Development.
