Ms. Neha Sanghrajka is a negotiator, mediator and writer with almost two decades of experience in conflict resolution, political strategy and mediation, successfully delivering positive outcomes in high-stakes and complex negotiations including working with former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan on the 2007 Kenyan crisis. She has worked with the UN, AU, and Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue. She co-led Mozambique’s Track I peace process, contributing to a 2019 historic peace accord and a landmark disarmament, demobilisation and reintegration programme. She holds a degree in Law and MA in International Relations.
She is Kenyan, of Indian descent and is on the board of the Kofi Annan Foundation, the Berghof Foundation and Making Peace Visible. She was a Weatherhead Fellow at Harvard University and an affiliate of the Harvard Center for African Studies and Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) and was previously a Peace Fellow at Yale University. She has authored several journal publications including in the Harvard /MIT Negotiation Journal - Case Study of the Peace Process in Mozambique and in the International Peacekeeping Journal - The Demand for Emerging Mediators from the South: Assessing Challenges and Opportunities of Brazil (and Beyond). She has also co-authored the book Back from the Brink: The 2008 Mediation Process and Reforms in Kenya and From Maputo to the Mountain, Building Peace in Mozambique.
