Nesrine Mbarek works at the intersection of international education, activism, and research. She brings with her experiences in working across several educational systems including in Jordan, Colombia, Mauritania, Chad, South Africa, Tunisia, and Madagascar. She is currently working with IIEP-UNESCO on public finance management reform and gender responsive education. Her lifelong mission is to contribute to addressing the deeply rooted economic, social, and political problems that ignited the 2011 popular uprisings in Tunisia and the Arab region. Nesrine holds a Bachelor’s in History with Honors from Stanford University, and a Master’s in Public Policy with Distinction from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. She hails from Gafsa, Tunisia.
