Master in Education Candidate

A native of Norway and the US, Nina Nedrebo attended Norwegian public school until the 10th grade, and earned International Baccalaureate Diploma from the Oslo International School.  She holds a B.A. in history from Mount Holyoke College, an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Teaching from Boston University.  After working with UN agencies for Sahrawi refugees in Algeria, teaching in Norway and Minnesota, and most recently in Holyoke, Massachusetts, she is dedicated to understanding and responding to the needs of youth who require early intervention to prevent and address childhood trauma.  As an Ed.M. ’25 Candidate in Education Policy and Analysis at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, she looks forward to working with a cohort of other dedicated Zuckerman fellows seeking change in educational practices to improve outcomes for the most vulnerable youth in our communities.  Following her fellowship at the Harvard Kennedy School, she plans to pursue legislative work in Massachusetts to guarantee equitable access for children in public schools to resources for safety and social and emotional learning.  She loves spending time with her daughter Maria, enjoying moments with friends, exploring nature, and reading literature.
