Reinhard Gorenflos, MPA2 1989, is founder and CEO of Tua Res Foundation, which promotes the education of vulnerable girls in Western Africa. Founded in 2012, Tua Res has already supported more than 20,000 girls in Burkina Faso, Benin and Kenya through a broad array of programs that include financial and material support, school meals, tuition for classes, health and psychological assistance, English and IT education, training in life skills, and university scholarships. Previously, Reinhard was a consultant with LEK, Managing Director with Thyssen Group, Germany, CFO of ARAL AG, Germany and Member of Private Equity Firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) in London. At KKR he was member of the global Portfolio Management and the Infrastructure Investment Committees.

Today, Reinhard is dedicated to philanthropy with a focus on the promotion of education and literature. He is member of Apps for Good, a London-based NGO focused on technology education, a board member of the Stiftung Lyrik–Kabinett (Poetry Foundation), and committee member of the Heinrich Heine Literary Award, one of Germany’s foremost literature awards

He studied Economics and History at Freiburg and Paris Universities and Public Administration at Harvard Kennedy School. Reinhard was elected scholar of the German National Scholarship Foundation, John J McCloy Academic Scholar at the Kennedy School, and Global Leader for Tomorrow by the World Economic Forum. Reinhard is a passionate mountaineer. He lives in Munich, Germany, and has three children.
