Sara is an MPA/ID candidate at Harvard Kennedy School with a background in Economics from Universidad del Pacífico (Peru) and eight years of experience in social and financial inclusion. Until 2023, she was an Institutional Development Specialist at Financiera Confianza, the BBVA Microfinance Foundation branch in Peru, where she cultivated strategic partnerships with global organizations to drive social and economic progress.  Previously, Sara worked as a Microfinance Analyst at the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance, and Private Pension Funds Administrators of Peru, overseeing the publication of the Official Statistical Bulletin of Microfinance Institutions and conducting microfinance research.  Beyond her professional roles, Sara led LMI Peru, a non-profit focused on financial education, as President. She managed 15 social projects, impacting over 300 individuals through financial literacy programs. These experiences fueled her passion for development work, leading her to pursue an MPA/ID degree at HKS. Sara aims to leverage her academic and professional expertise to address global challenges, promote inclusive and sustainable growth, and drive positive change.
